Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant who will be able to project manage, administrate and compile multiple, multidisciplinary environmental projects and prepare proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively project manage the environmental and social legislative processes applicable to the relevant country.
- Maintain an awareness of country applicable legislation and the potential impact on the various projects.
- Ensure the project team maintains a high quality standard in the services provided and in the deliverables produced.
- Participate in marketing the company and bringing in new business/projects.
- Effectively manage tasks relating to project team management.
- Effectively project manage the Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) according to the relevant legislation and international standards, such as the IFC Performance Standards.
- Effectively project manage the Environmental Permitting and Mining Right Applications.
- Effectively project manage the working in close collaboration with specialists from other disciplines.
- Effectively project manage consultations with stakeholders.
- Effectively project manage Project budgets and schedules and liaising with clients and authorities
- Compile and write reports and other written deliverables for submission to the client and necessary authorities.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- 10 + years in a similar role specifically withinthe resources/infrastructure industry.
- Post graduate degree in Environmental Management or similar.
- Project Management Certificate would be beneficial.
- Professional Registration would be beneficial. (e.g. EAPASA).
- Understanding of applicable environmental and social legislation and international standards.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and prepared to obtain other vaccinations that may be required by clients and for travel purposes.
- Prepared to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.
- Occasionally carry out field work under strenuous conditions.
