Job Description:

Our client, a well-established supplier of ground support and ground control solutions to the mining and infrastructure sectors, is seeking an experienced Head of Sales based in Gauteng. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will lead the sales strategy, grow revenue and market share, and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and Technical Sales Representatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the sales strategy to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across the mining and infrastructure sectors.
• Build executive relationships with key mining houses, and lead negotiation of major contracts, pricing, and supply agreements.
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, building a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
• Manage sales budgets, forecasts, pipeline, and margins, and oversee tenders and commercial proposals.
• Identify new business opportunities, and represent the business at industry forums and customer events.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and mining regulations.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mining, or a related field. MBA advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years' sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
• Proven experience in mining, ground support, explosives, chemicals, or industrial consumables, with a strong record managing large strategic accounts.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills. Experience with major mining houses across Southern Africa advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence, and willingness to travel to sites and regional offices.
